Lina ‘Sue’ Jennette of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, she was 89 years old.

Sue was born on February 25, 1933, and raised by her grandmother, Beulah ‘Big Momma’ Stephens.

She met the love of her life, Frank B. Jennette, Jr., when she was only 14. Sue and Frank were married for 60 years and were inseparable until his death in 2006.

Sue was an active member of Edgefield Baptist church for over 70 years. She was a Sunday school teacher, was very influential in the Women’s Missionary Union, and committed decades of love and leadership to Edgefield Baptist Church.

Sue loved family dinners, friend get-togethers, church activities, and shopping. She was a steadfast person who had her opinions and stood by them. Sue was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Preceding Sue in death was her husband, Frank B. Jennette, Jr.; Infant son, Michael David Jennette; Sister Lelia Ann (Sam) Gallaher; and Parents, Melza Claibourne and Hazel Goforth.

Sue is survived by her children, Alice (Jerry) Windsor, Kenneth W. (Terri) Jennette, Patricia (Dwayne) Murphy, Donna (John) Bailey, and Stephen B. (Lisa) Jennette; Fourteen grandchildren, Twenty-two great-grandchildren, Sisters, Betty Carmany and Patsy Jenkins; and Brothers, Gene Goforth and Herbert ‘Dee’ Goforth.

Join us in honoring our precious Mother. Visitation will be held at Edgefield Baptist Church, 700 Russell St, Nashville TN 37206 on Wednesday, September 28 from 4-8 PM and Thursday, September 29 from 11 AM to 1 PM with service to follow at 1 PM.
