Lawrence Clyde Hunt, age 85 of Antioch, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Bethany Center for Rehabilitation after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Sullivan County, Tennessee to Lonzie and Fern Hunt on April 8, 1937. Lawrence was the seventh of ten children, two being adopted.
He graduated from Holston High School in East Tennessee, was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force, then attended Nashville Auto Diesel College. He spent his working years at Nixon Detroit Diesel and Nashville Peterbilt until retirement.
Lawrence attended Nolensville Road Baptist Church for many years serving as an usher and helping with maintenance. He enjoyed traveling, doing yard maintenance, and working with his hands. He had a great talent in being able to repair almost anything.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Hunt; his daughter, Vickie Foster (Craig) of Smyrna, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Seth and Hannah Foster; one brother, Howard Hunt (Shelia) of Blountville, Tennessee; several nieces and two nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 21, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 6:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Services will be officiated by Pastor Wesley Waddle. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
Lawrence will be laid to rest Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
