Mr. Larry Roland Crim of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, he was 66 years old.

Larry was an alumnus of East Nashville High School, graduating in 1973. He was also a proud alumnus of The University of Tennessee, Middle Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt University, and Tennessee State University. After graduating from high school, he went on to first attending The University of Tennessee receiving a Bachelors of Arts and Science degree. He then attended Middle Tennessee State University and received his first master’s degree in Psychology and received his second master’s in Public Administration in a joint program from Vanderbilt University, The University of Tennessee, Middle Tennessee State University, and Tennessee State University.

Larry was very active in state and local politics. He was a counselor of Christian Counseling Centers of America. He was a wonderful public servant to his community. He made everyone feel appreciated and was there to encourage his family and friends. He loved his beautiful state of Tennessee. He was a patriot that loved the United States of America and there was no greater fan of The University of Tennessee than Larry. Above all, he loved God and his beautiful sweetheart of 44 Years his beloved Annette. He was so proud of his daughter Mandy and his son Preston and loved them with all his heart. He was also a very proud “POPSIE” as his 6 grandchildren called him. He loved to brag about all their accomplishments and post on Facebook about everything going on in their lives. He was loved by so many and will be missed terribly especially by his wife, children, grandchildren, and his sister Wanda.

Mr. Crim was preceded in death by parents, Melvin & Mary Frances Crim.

Survived by wife of 44 years, Annette Crim; son, Preston (Amber) Crim; daughter, Amanda (Robert) Spencer; sister, Wanda Crim Leatherwood Berry; and grandchildren, Knox Crim, Azeta Crim, Aliyah Spencer, Aubrey Spencer, Jayden Spencer, and Alivia Spencer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 17th at 2 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Rev. Jack Carver officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Preston Crim, Robert Spencer, David Burroughs, Mark Kilpatrick, David Spencer, and Aaron Battle serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Charles Kimbrough, Rep. Barbara Cooper, and Vernon Winfrey. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, March 16th from 4-8 pm and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
