Mrs. Barbara Kay Griner Kopp, age 66, passed peacefully on March 12, 2022 after a five-year battle with breast cancer.

Kay was born in Columbus, Georgia, in August 1955 to Ted and Mina Griner.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ted Griner; and her daughter, Jaqueline Kopp.

Kay is survived by her beloved husband, Kerry Kopp; her daughter, Katherine Kopp; her mother, Mina Griner; and her sister, Judy Craven.

Kay loved the Lord and her family! She was a faithful servant leader of Antioch First Baptist Church for many years. Leading youth, leading worship, directing vacation bible school, attending mission trips, and more, she devoted many years to the work of Christ. Kay worked loyally for Southwestern Publishing/Great American Opportunities for more than forty years. A lover of language and of literature, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia. One of her favorite memories was visiting France in the summer of 1976 and immersing herself in the language and culture.
