Lana Sue Miller, daughter of George Albert Connell and Wilma Lee Connell, age 74 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on September 10, 2023.
Preceded in death by parents, George and Wilma Lee Connell; and husband, Richard Miller.
She is survived by her children, Sheila (Aaron) Rooks, Christy (Chad) Daugherty; her sister, Leanne Haggard; her brother, Sherman (LeighAnn) Connell; grandchildren, Richard Daugherty, Isaac Daugherty, Damion (Ashley) Rooks, Devin Rooks, Aaron (Jasmine) Rooks Jr; great-grandchildren, Destiny Rooks, Damion (DJ) Rooks, Jr., James Rooks, Kiley Rooks, Nora Rooks, Grayson Rooks, and Cole Rooks; and loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Lana was a quiet and humble servant for our Lord Jesus Christ. She loved serving God and the church by sharing her musical talents by playing the piano, organ, handbells, and singing in church choirs.
Lana served behind the scenes by serving through the Women’s Mission Union, being a preschool director, teaching preschoolers, leading conferences, participating in senior adult programs, serving in the kitchen, participating with Helping Hands, and knitting caps for newborns in other countries among other things.
Thank you to all of you who have loved and supported Lana during her amazing and wonderful years on this earth.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Family members will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be on Friday, September 15, 2023, for family from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for the public. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
