Ladelle Hogin Morrell passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the age of 84.
Born December 27, 1938 in Nashville, TN, Ladelle was the daughter of the late Malcolm Hogin and the late Louise Hogin.
She is survived by her loving husband Ron Morrell, to whom she was married for 66 years, and her only child Tim Morrell (Beth).
Ladelle graduated from David Lipscomb High School in Nashville and later attended medical laboratory school. She worked at Nashville General Hospital as a lab technician for several years before leaving to help Dr. Joe Allison open his OB/GYN clinic in Madison, TN. She was instrumental in growing his practice and retired there as office manager after 38 years of service.
Ladelle was incredibly kind and gracious. She was a beautiful person inside and out, always exquisitely dressed, and she made friends easily. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, dinner clubs, playing games, and bible study. She played canasta weekly with a group of special ladies whom she adored. Ladelle loved her son more than anything and never missed an opportunity to brag about him to anyone who would listen.
Ladelle was a devout Christian her entire life and an active member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ, where she assisted with the jail ministry and benevolence committee. She had a true servant’s heart and put others before herself. Ladelle prayed every night for heaven to be her eternal home and God answered her prayer. Those who knew her were truly blessed.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Crieve Hall Church of Christ, 4806 Trousdale Drive by Bill Watkins. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons at Crieve Hall Church of Christ. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and Friday from 10-11 a.m. at Crieve Hall Church of Christ.
