Ms. Kathy Phillips of Greenbrier, TN died peacefully at 10:20 p.m. Thursday evening October 16, 2025 at the age of 58 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville where she was admitted hours earlier from Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with a rare undetected brain disorder.
Funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday afternoon October 22nd with Bro. Tim Frank officiating. Burial will follow the 1 p.m. services in section seven at the Ridgewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. services.
She was born Mary Katherine Phillips in Nashville on July 28, 1967 and was the daughter of Mattie Ruth Jarrett Phillips Davis of Greenbrier and the late James Thomas Phillips.
A sister preceded her in death, Donna Kendall as did a brother, Joey Ray Harper.
Ms. Phillips was a bookkeeper for the Home Depot Store in Hendersonville when she became ill.
She was a member of the Long Hollow Baptist Church in Hendersonville.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two brothers, Robert Harper and wife Michele Woodard Harper of Gainesboro, Randall Harper and wife Lucile of Hartsville.
Pallbearers: Anthony Moletinni, Jason & Tyziah Harper, Tyler, Gabriel, & Braden Teague.
