Kathryn Ann Wilson, age 81, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on November 4, 2024.
Born on August 15, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Charles William Wilson Jr. and Barbara Bookman Wilson.
Kathy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was the most awesome mother and grandma. She was loved by her three girls and all her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Kathy had a successful career as a controller at Nashville Rubber and Gasket for 52 years. She was known for her dedication and love for her job. Outside of her work life, she was a member of Woodmont Christian Church, where she worshipped for many years.
A lover of books and a lifelong reader, Kathy enjoyed spending time with a good novel specifically biographies or a good mystery. She also had a deep appreciation for the beach and lighthouses, often dreaming of peaceful coastal escapes. Among her many passions were her admiration for Elvis Presley and former President John F. Kennedy, two icons she held in high regard. Those who knew Kathy would also fondly remember her lighthearted spirit and her favorite saying, “Never met a nap I didn’t like!”
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Chaffins (Russell), Bonnie Rubio (Danny) and Melissa Carter (Tracy); her grandchildren, Christopher Wilkins (Elicia), Barbara Ortiz, Jessica Preston (Leroy), Tabitha Weakley (Houston), Allen Parish, and her Twelve great-grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by her brothers Bill and Johnny.
A visitation was held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN.
