OBITUARY: Kathleen Williams

Kathleen Williams affectionately known as “Kat” was born January 2, 1933, and departed this life on July 2, 2026, to her eternal home with the Lord.

Katheleen was united in marriage to Allie Williams and to this union four children were born. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Dollie Mae and Priest Williams; husband Allie Williams; sons, James & Larry Williams; sisters, Daisy (Rab) Woodard, Nellie (Buck) Sheldon, Castoria (JD) Pulliam, Ada Jones; brothers, Eddie (Madie) Williams, George (Mattie) Williams, Priest Jr. (Leila) Williams, James Williams.

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized in Houston, MS. She attended the public school system of Bruce Mississippi. She was formerly employed by several jobs- Werthan Bags, Bruce Hardwood, Vanderbilt Hospital and Coloney Cleaners. She joined Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board.

Kat had a beautiful personality and positive attitude. She loved cooking for her family and friends, playing cards and making everyone happy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, devoted sons, RL and Bobby (Niecy) Williams; brother, Ervin Williams; sister, Dolly Griffin; sister in-law, Gladys Bowden, daughter in- law, Josie Williams; grandchildren, great grandchildren; special friend, Sue Stricklan; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Public viewing, Friday July 17, 2026 2-5pm Smith Funeral Home, 706 Monroe Street. Family visitation, Saturday July 18, 2026, 11-12pm with funeral service to follow at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 819 33rd Ave. North. Interment, Greenwood Main Cemetery.
