June Elizabeth Owen Witmer age 95 of South Nashville, TN passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
June was the daughter of the late Homer Frank Owen and Mildred Blanche Harrison Owen. She is preceded in death by husband, Gene Witmer; sons, Richard and Bob Witmer. Survived by sister, Shirley Kelts; brother, William L. Owen; Richard’s wife, Janice Witmer; and Bob’s wife, Karen Witmer; grandchildren, Valerie (Spencer) Hinkle, Rob Witmer, Pam (Dino) Stewart, Suzanne Witmer and Christie Heckel; great-grandchildren, Spencer McAlister, Mason Hinkle, Lindsey Hinkle, April Hay, Jessica Settle, Timothy Brown, Niko Heckel and Elijah Thomas and Meleah Thomas; and great-great-grandchildren, Lily, Noah and Maya McAlister; Kaiden, Colton, Dalton and Chelly Settle and BentleyClimber.
June had a zest for life. She was always cheerful and full of love. She was dedicated and adored her grandchildren. She also had a fondness for travel, especially Florida, where she went every year. She had a love for being a vendor at flea markets with Gene. She was a very beautiful lady and her soul was pure of heart.
A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 12 Noon by family in honor of June.
