OBITUARY: Elizabeth Elliott Farmer

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 25 years, Fyke Farmer, her son Frank Stafford (Amy), daughter Sarah Mercado (A.J.), and step daughter, Jennie Smallwood (Steve). Grandchildren Dyana Limon-Mercado (Gus), Axxel Mercado, Mason Brown (Shelby), Georgia Brown, Scout Mercado, Bella Mercado, Harrison Stafford, and Tyler Stafford, and sister Elaine Crews.

Elizabeth spent her formative years in Memphis, TN where she graduated from Central High School. She went on to study at Southwestern at Memphis (Rhodes College) and subsequently graduated from Emory University in Atlanta.

Throughout her career she served in a variety of capacities. Among her favorites were the Junior League Home for Children, the Nashville Humane Association, all of her many floral pursuits, and Vanderbilt Hospital, from where she retired. However, she never retired from her love of floral work serving her church and community until weeks before her passing.

Elizabeth was a member of the Colonial Dames of America, The Centennial Club, and multiple volunteer committees at Westminster Presbyterian Church. She loved playing bridge with her friends, traveling with her husband, volunteering and most of all being known as Lulu.
