Jim-Moore

Jim Moore departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 4, 2022, for a far better life in his eternal home, heaven.

Jim battled cancer among other health issues for several years but is now healed of all of them.

He was united with his parents and friends who went on before. Parents, father, James Warner Moore, Sr. mother Betty Jean Moore, also Jim is survived by his son, Casey Moore, and sister, Jennifer Pattee.

Jim, spent his early years growing up in Pike County KY in the mountains of Eastern KY. His family moved to Ft. Wayne IND in 1967 where he spent his life until 1984 and moved to Nashville, TN.

Jim worked several jobs in the Nashville area before landing a job with Metro Nashville Government and worked for Metro in several different departments for 26 years before retiring in 2012.

Jim accepted Jesus Christ in his life several years ago while living in Ft. Wayne. Jim was not a perfect man as none of us are, but Jim’s Favorite verse was Leviticus ; 3:21-23, Gods mercies and compassion are new every day, and Jim was so thankful for Gods mercy and grace.

Jim and his wife Beverly were married for 33 years and enjoyed one another very much. Jim thanked God for being so good to him when he didn’t deserve it. He thanked God for so many things in life that were important to him and after Jesus Christ, Jim would tell God how blessed he was for Beverly. Jim would always sing the song; “you’re the best thing that ever happened to me” on their anniversary. So glad Jim and Beverly will be together forever in heaven where all is perfect. Like the song Jim liked very much, “There will be a day” there will be no more pain, no more suffering.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Monday at Mapleview Cemetery www.woodfinchapel.com
