Jerry Douglas Aker, age 75, of Madison, Tennessee passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024.
Born to the late Frank and Mina Aker, Jerry is also preceded in death by his nephew Mike Woods.
He is survived by his best friend and life partner, Donia Aker; children Susan Aker, Jeremy Aker (Alicia); grandchildren Vivian Barche (Matt), Emily McGahey, Ellen McGahey, Justice Aker (Emily), Jacob Aker (Mikaela), Joseph Aker, Lily Gammon, Joshua Gammon; six great-grandchildren; sister Pamela Woods-Whitefield (Conrad); a niece and many other beloved extended family and dear friends.
Jerry attended Cumberland University for a while and was loved by all in his community. He retired from Dupont after 53 years and was a dedicated member of the Madison, TN Elks Lodge. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family whenever he could. Jerry never met a stranger and made lifelong friends. We will miss him dearly and cherish the sweet memories made with him.
The family of Jerry Aker have honored his wishes for cremation by entrusting Eastland Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Nashville, TN.
