Jeanice Shouse Fisher of Nashville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 6, 2022, she was 83 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Dorris Fisher; parents Lucien and Elsie Shouse; sisters Martha Pulley and Mary Ann Johnson.

She is survived by daughters, Kim (Billy) Martin and Kathy (David) Stewart; grandchildren, Chris Martin, Michael Martin, Kennedy Stewart, and Price Stewart; brothers, Bill (Barbara) Shouse, and Jerry (Margie) Shouse; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeanice was a graduate of Hume Fogg High School. She loved children and spent many years keeping children or teaching at preschools. She worked at David Lipscomb University in the Development Office for 35 years.

She was a long time member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ where she taught the Cradle Roll class for 23 years. She was known to many as “The Bread Lady” because she made hundreds of loaves of her cinnamon bread for people through the years until her health would no longer allow her to bake.

She dearly loved her family and friends! She was especially proud of her 4 grandchildren. They were the light of her life! She loved flowers, baking, and traveling. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh! She had a kind heart and always had a smile for everyone she met!

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00-3:00 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2022, with service following, with Bill Watkins officiating, all at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com

There will be a private family burial on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Martin, Michael Martin, Price Stewart, Billy Martin, David Stewart, and Larry Pulley.

Special thanks to Marquette Tyus (Queen) and Teresa Pillow for the loving care they gave her in the last few months. Thank you for making her smile and making her feel loved! Thank you to Woodcrest at Blakeford Rehab for the great care she received over the last two months.
