Janice Sue Smith, age 69 of Old Hickory, formerly of White House, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at The Residence of Alive Hospice. She was born May 6, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to Henry and Aline Keith Brown.
She worked as a bookkeeper for AAA Paving Company before her retirement She collected antiques and enjoyed swapping, selling, and buying antiques with friends. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Darlene, Peggy Jean, and Kathleen; 1 brother, Billy.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bruce Smith, Old Hickory, TN; son, Tim (Michelle) Smith, White House, TN; step-daughter, Tammy Lee (Joey) Braswell, Nashville, TN; brother, Jimmy (Melissa) Brown; sister, Wanda Driver, both of Old Hickory, TN; 3 grandchildren, Addison, Allie, and Brent.
Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 1 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Harold Young officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Tuesday, August 3, 2021 10 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
