Janice Sue Smith, a beloved mother, grandmother, passed away on June 4, 2025. She was born on March 17, 1945 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Audie Cleland and Earlene Grissom.

She is survived by her four daughters: Lana Smith, Kim Smith, Krista Ramsey (Reggie), and Sulynn Dellinger; and her cherished grandchildren, Caroline Ramsey and Blake Dellinger. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronnie Smith.

Janice had a brilliant mind and a deep love of learning. Smart as a whip, Janice left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. She began her career as an accountant in her early 20s, took time to raise her family, then returned to college to become a Certified Public Accountant rounding out a career that spanned over 30 years.

Outside of her career, her daughters were the light of her life, and she found great joy in spoiling her grandchildren. Janice was a mystery novel enthusiast, a Master Gardener with a green thumb, a talented pianist, and had a knack for sewing.

But above all, her greatest love was her family.

We love you, Mom. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A funeral service for Janice will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 2:00pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln., Nashville, TN 37204. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn
