James Richard Womack, age 74 of Nashville, TN died on January 29, 2022, at Trevecca Rehab Center.
Jimmy, as his family and close friends called him, was born in Nashville on May 19, 1947.
He lived in Nashville his entire life with his mother and father until their death. He never married.
He graduated from Lipscomb High School and spent a short time in the Air Force. He worked several other jobs through the years which included Sears, Wolfe Camera, Hardee’s, and Publix, where he retired in 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Dorothy “Dot” Womack; two brothers, Clem A. Womack, Jr. and George Womack.
He is survived by his sister, Nancy Womack Heffington (David); five nephews, David (Julie) Heffington, Philip (Leigh) Heffington, Paul (Shannon) Heffington, Stephen (Emily) Heffington, and Jonathan Heffington; one niece, Rachel (Kevin) Davis; and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by a cousin, Betty Meriwether.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Crieve Hall Church of Christ, 4806 Trousdale Drive, Nashville, TN 37220.
