James ‘Mac’ Lee McIntosh Sr. of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 28th, 2022, he was 84 years old.

James graduated from Isaac Litton High School in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a master carpenter, he built everything from cabinets to log cabin houses. James, aka “Mac” was a craftsman who loved to build and fly model airplanes.

He was a long-time member of the Music City Aviators Club and helped to build the airfield at Peeler Park. He was also an avid golfer and won tournaments in his younger years. One of his true loves in life was spending time on the water fishing for bass around the lakes in the South.

James could fix anything; his ingenuity was endless. The show MacGyver should have been called McIntosh instead.

James is preceded in death by his parents, John Leslie McIntosh, and Christine Elizabeth Flair McIntosh; Brother, Billy Gene McIntosh; and Faithful Companion, Rusty.

He is survived by his children, Ginger McIntosh Gaines (Rob), James Lee McIntosh Jr., and Mark Alan McIntosh; Brother, John Leslie McIntosh, Jr.; Grandchildren, Robert Ryan Gaines (Cori) and Lauren Gaines Johnston (Justin); and Great-grandchildren, James Eastland Gaines, Langston Brooks Gaines, and Palmer Ann Johnston.

Visitation will be held at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home’s Hadley Chapel, 1700 Hadley Ave, Old Hickory, TN 37138, on Saturday, November 12th, 2022, from 10 am until his memorial service at 12pm. https://www.phillipsrobinson.com
