James ‘Jimbo’ Patrick Wright was truly one of a kind. Many people knew him as “James Jimmy Jimbo.” He was a native Nashvillian (a rare person these days) and proud of it, as evidenced by the “Made in Tennessee” tattoos down the backs of both of his arms! Jim loved crazy socks, loud clothes, hair bleach, and hightop Chuck Taylors.

Jimbo worked as a bartender and server at many iconic old Nashville hangouts like The Cooker, The Boundary, 215, Local Taco, and most recently Urban Grub, where he was known for his easy smile and quick wit, as well as the pride he took in his work.

Jim had a special bond with his father, James Douglas Wright, Jr. (Doug), and a special place in the heart of Marylin Joan Wright (JoAn), his mother. Jim had two sisters, Joanna Wright (Jo) and Susanna Wright Julian (Susie). He had a large extended family, and so many friends who were also family to him.

We will miss you, Jim.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
