Jackie Lee Holliman Sr., age 64 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Growing up, Jack learned early to work hard by helping his dad and brothers in the family roofing business. He carried that dedication into his adult life, sharing it with his children and applying it at the auto body shop, Gerber Collision, where he worked as the head of maintenance and took pride in everything he did.
In his down time, Jack knew how to have fun and relax with his family. If he wasn’t dancing at the Starlite lounge, he might be throwing cards and winning quarters in a poker game. Either way, he would always be dressed to the nines in his black cowboy hat with his polished cowboy boots and shiny belt buckle.
In recent years, Jack was famous for his Memorial Day grill-outs and getting the Holliman gang together. He was proud of all four of his children and loved to share stories of their achievements.
Jackie is survived by his four children: daughter, Angela and her husband Steve, daughter, Mary and her husband Chris, son, Michael and his wife Jennie, and son, Lee and his fiancée Emily—along with his eight grandchildren, and his siblings, Elaine, Michael, Otis, and David.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Stanton Holliman Sr. and Alice Lee Meadows Holliman, and his sister, Erlaine.
A celebration of life will be held in Jack’s honor on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville, TN 37211. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
