Ms. Ivonell Brumley King passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, she was 89 years old.
She was born in Harriman, TN on May 11, 1933 to the late Chester Brumley and Lena Brumley Bucy. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Brumley, Carl Brumley; sister, Eva Alexander; children, Infant Daughter Joy Elaine King and Daughter Kristy Dianne King; and her husband, James William King.
She is survived by her son, James Steven King (Allison); grandson, James David King; and granddaughter, Rebecca Rice King.
Nell was a Christian and longtime member of Goodlettsville Church of Christ. Married to her husband, Jim King for 66 years, she dearly loved her children, Kristy and Steve, also her grandchildren, David and Rebecca, known to them as “Nannie.”
A loving mother and wife, known for her warmth, friendliness, and smile, giving encouragement and comfort to others. She loved working in programs at church and was known at Forest Lawn Funeral Home as “The Snack Lady.”
Nell had a good sense of humor, enjoyed life, and the love and friendship of those around her.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 pm, Thursday, June 2nd at Cole and Garrett in Goodlettsville. https://www.coleandgarrett.com Visitation will be held from 6-7 pm prior to the service. Transportation and interment will be at Roane Memorial Gardens in Harriman, TN on Friday, June 3rd at 12 pm Noon EST.
