Donald Edward “Paw Paw” Cashion, age 87 of Nashville, Tennessee went Home to be with The Lord on March 30, 2023.
He became a member of Crievewood Baptist Church in 1968, was active in the church where he served as a past Deacon. He was a member of Claiborne Lodge #293 F&AM where he was a two-time past Worshipful Master.
He was a past Senior Warden and served in excess of ten years as the secretary. He was a Master Mason, Royal Arch Mason, Cryptic Mason, and Knighted into the Knights Templar. He was a member of Al Menah Shrine where he served as past Captain of the Chanters, and a current member of the Hard Hats.
Donald retired from Avco Aerostructures in 1994. Donald was a man of strong faith. He loved his family dearly.
Preceded in death by parents, Russell Oliver Cashion, Sr. and Mary Jane Brinkley Cashion; brothers, Jack Avery Cashion, Milton Dale Cashion, Robert Lonial Cashion, Russell Oliver Cashion, Jr. and Billy Howard Cashion; sisters, Ellen Ann Cashion and Martha Jane Cross; daughter-in-law, Denise Cashion.
Survived by loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Sue Cashion; daughters, Pam (Greg) Craig and Lisa (Dennis) Butts; son, Jeff Cashion; granddaughter, Ashley Butts; great-granddaughter, Adalynn Mahaffey; his dog companion of 13 years, Sir Oliver; several nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2023, with visitation from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, HICKORY CHAPEL, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Members of Al Menah Shrine will serve as pallbearers. Masonic memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. by Claiborne Lodge #293 F&AM with visitation from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
