Deborah Lynn Linder, age 71, Joelton, Tennessee, passed away on July 15, 2026, after a very courageous battle with illness.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ila Mai Linder, and her brothers, Kenny Linder and James (J.J.) Linder, Jr. Their memories and lasting love remained close in her heart every day of her life.
She is survived by her sisters, Brenda Faye Linder and Michele Henry (Chris Stewart); nieces, Randle (Jeremy) Marsh and Sarah Linder; nephew, Christopher (Ashley) Linder; great-nephew, Nathan Marsh; great-niece, Gralynn Linder; uncle, Albert Bauman; many cousins and long-time friend Linda West.
Deborah was a devoted Christian and loved her church and church family at Oakwood Community Church. She enjoyed her time serving the church and the Lord through the financial recordkeeping she did for the church, among other things. Deborah retired after 29 years from Villa Maria Manor where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. In her role, she welcomed the residents and helped them with their needs to feel comfortable and safe while there. In the process, she made many cherished friendships with both the residents and her co-workers, and in many ways, it was a second family to her. So much so, she continued to stay in contact with many of the residents and co-workers and continued to help them with questions or needs they had after her retirement. Deborah’s greatest joy was her family. She loved her family and would always help them in any way she could. She cherished time with family and deeply missed those that had already passed. She will always be remembered by family and friends for her strength and courage, her compassion for others, and her very strong will and stubbornness on just about any topic.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. John E. Anderson and staff, Dr. Byron Haitas and staff, and Dr. Abigail Bradner and the staff at DaVita White Bridge Dialysis for their wonderful care, compassion, and love they have given to Deborah over the years.
Visitation will be at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home in Joelton on Friday, July 24th from 4pm-8pm and again on Saturday, July 25th from 9am until the time of Service at 11am, with Pastor Patrick Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oakwood Community Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Linder, Jeremy Marsh, Nathan Marsh, Chris Stewart, Timmy Stewart and Keith Pruitt.
