Deborah-Lou-Washington

Deborah Lou Washington was born December 22, 1954 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of John Fletcher, Sr and Mable Bowen Fletcher. She departed this peaceful life on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Deborah confessed her love of Christ at an early age. She was educated in the Nashville Davidson County School System. She worked as a head cook in some of Nashville’s most popular restaurants.

Deborah loved being around her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking. She loved holidays and family gatherings. In her spare time she enjoyed watching her favorite television shows. NCIS and Blue Bloods topped the list.

Deborah had a twisted sense of humor. She was straight forward but stern when needed. She did not mind feeding anyone that needed a meal. Deborah would cuss you out and then pray for you. If you came to visit her, you had better be bringing cigarettes’, coffee, a cup of ice or some KFC. If you were bold enough to come empty handed you were going to be sent back to the store.

Deborah loved to gossip on the phone for hours with her twin sister. Momma loved us and we loved her!!!!

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, John Fletcher, Sr and mother Mable Bowen Fletcher, sons, James Fletcher, Eddie Coleman, granddaughter, Deondria Fletcher, sisters, Dawn Jones, Harrietta Whittaker, brothers, John Fletcher, Jr., Thomas Fletcher and Jesse Fletcher.
