Born in Forrest City, Arkansas, on April 14, 1949, to Wendell and Dorothy Bridgforth Weed, David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

David was a proud graduate of Hillsboro High School in Nashville and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, followed by a Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He worked for many years as an attorney in private practice.

David was a doting grandfather to eight grandchildren: Natalie Young, Patrick Weed, Anna Clare Weed, Henry Weed, Logan BeCraft, Bailey Kate BeCraft, Jace Flaherty, and Rylee Flaherty.

David’s passion for family was matched by his love of the outdoors and sports, particularly University of Tennessee football. Many weekends were spent on the lake with his loved ones or at home, where he hosted big tailgate parties for UT home games, bringing together friends and family in celebration of his team’s victories.
