David James (Payne) Northrop, age 61, of Nashville, Tennessee crossed over into eternity with Jesus Christ on Monday, January 1, 2024 to his ultimate, new beginning.

He was born on August 14, 1962 in Erie, Pennsylvania.

He married Amber Northrop on November 11, 2016 and they enjoyed 7 beautiful years of marriage together.

David served in the U.S. Air Force from 1982-1987 working in Communication Operations while in the U.S., Germany and during the Grenada Conflict. He held multiple higher education degrees in Honors, including a B.S., two AAS’, and as well as a Masters in Divinity and Masters of Education from Regent University.

He had a love for business and seeing others prosper. From 1995-97 he served in South Korea as an English Conversation Instructor impacting many young people in the classroom and through the local church singles ministry. He received two Ordinations, one of which is from Indigenous Messengers International.

From the time David was a young boy, he served the church which later developed into a lifelong passion for the Bride of Christ, unity and the five-fold ministry. He had a deep desire for studying and teaching the Word of God through writing and communicating those Biblical truths to others with passion.

David was full of life! His countenance and smile displayed a reflection of Yeshua’s glory and purity. He was a man of prayer and intercession whose prayers were effective and powerful! David endured much, yet his joy and resiliency created a buoyancy to weather the storms of life. In so doing, he became a lifeboat to others in need of compassion, grace and love.

David’s legacy of love will remain strong in the hearts of all those who knew him well and loved him dearly. David finished running his race well; “well done, good and faithful servant!

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Lynn Northrop.

He is survived by his wife, Amber Northrop; mother, Marion Payne; step-father, Robert Payne; brothers Dale (Jenny) Payne and Duane (Mandy) Payne, many nieces and nephews and other wonderful family members”
