Chinita Marlin, age 78, passed away December 25, 2021 from an illness that was a result of an accident.
She was born in October 30, 1943 to the late J.W. Marlin and Rubena“Bill” Lassiter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Milton” Hammond, and Dan McAllister. She is survived by her daughter Pam McAllister; brother John Marlin, his wife Pat and their daughters Hope Wright and Wendy Chadwick.
Chinita lived for many years in Maryland where she ran her own insurance agency from 1980s to the mid 1990s. She also was one of the first woman mayors in Maryland. She held the office of the Mayor of Berlin, MD from 1992-1995. She returned home to Middle Tennessee in 1995 to help take care of her family. She worked in the insurance industry for over 60 years until her retirement in 2019. Chinita loved animals, traveling and family first and foremost.
A visitation for friends and family will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home Goodlettsville Thursday December 30 from 4-7pm.
