Cheryl Merritt, age 66, of Chapmansboro, TN passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family.
Cheryl was a woman whose heart overflowed with love – for her family, her friends, and all the babies she cherished so dearly. She brought joy to every room with her warm spirit and genuine kindness. Whether she was casting a line while fishing, gathered around the table playing games, or simply enjoying the music of the Judds, Cheryl made every moment count.
Her home was a place of comfort and laughter, filled with the aroma of her famous lasagna and beloved chicken and dumplings — meals made with love and remembered by all who tasted them.
Cheryl’s greatest joy was being with her people. She created a legacy of love and togetherness that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Though her absence leaves a deep ache, we take comfort in knowing she’s dancing with Jesus now and reunited with her beloved family.
Cheryl’s laughter, stories, and steady presence will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by parents, David and Shirley Minton; sister, Kathy (Mike) Cox; and brother, Mike Minton.
Cheryl is survived by her three children, Brandy (Daniel) Ham; Chris (Amanda) Merritt; and Logan Merritt; grandchildren, Carlee (L.A.) Hulan; Brandon (Haylee) Mickle; Avery Merritt; Ensley Merritt; Trenton Merritt; and Arianna Caldera; great-grandchildren, Millie Hulan; Walker Hulan; Declan Mickle; Francesca Barrington; and Emilia Barrington; brother, Steve “Bubba” (Debbie) Minton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, May 8th from 2PM until the hour of Memorial Service at 4PM at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home. https://www.andersonandgarrett.com
