Charles Edward “Charlie” Thompson, age 99 0f Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
Preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Sadie Paris Thompson; and sister, Louise Hicks.
He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was employed by Baird-Ward Printing Company for 32 years, a member of Vultee Church of Christ, Nashville Airport Area Exchange Club and the DAV.
Survived by wife of 67 years, Avis June Deckard Thompson; daughters, Debora (Randy) Butler and Diane (Tim) Ramsey; granddaughters, Mandi (Nick) Perry, Katie (Jon) Beu and Kallie Butler; grandson, Matthew Eason; and great-grandson, Austin Perry.
Funeral services will be conducted by Wendell Byrd on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 12:00 noon (visitation 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road.
