Charles Benz Lewis. age, 80, departed this life on July 16, 2021. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on August 6, 1940 to the late, Robert Holloway Lewis, Sr. and Ruth Benz Lewis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Schreiber Lewis; son, Charles Michael Lewis, and his brother, Harry Allen Lewis. Charles is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa (Bob) Barr of Nashville, Tennessee; granddaughter Kimberly; brother, Rev. Bob (Wylodene) Lewis, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee, daughter-in-law, Michelle Jackson of Nashville, Tennessee.
Charles was a Program Director at Channel 8 Nashville’s Public TV station for over 25 years. He directed the popular program Cross Roads. During his retirement years, he maintained close friends with his brother.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held from one until three o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at three o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in Dignity Hall of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Bob Lewis, Jr and Rev. Zach Moffatt to Officiate.
