Bobbie Jean Hardin, age 80 of Antioch, TN passed away on August 25, 2021.
Bobbie was the oldest daughter to William and Elizabeth Long and was a loving sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was faithfully married to her childhood sweetheart William Hardin, for 47 years. She touched so many throughout her life and will be long remembered as a faithful friend and good listener. Bobbie was a strong woman of faith and always went above and beyond to help others and be the best example of loving-kindness. Bobbie spent her working life as a cook for Shoney’s and Southern Hills Hospital. In her retirement years, she loved journaling, working on crafts, eating out with her family, shopping, listening to Christian music, and was always the quickest in the family when it came to answering crosswords and game shows. She will be missed and forever cherished.
Preceded in death by husband, William Hardin; daughter, Judy Leckie; brother, Ronnie Long; and parents, Elizabeth and William Long.
Survived by daughters, Donna (Terry) Young, Karen Gifford, and Tammy Wilson; son-in-law, Michael Leckie; 7 grandchildren, Stephanie (Phillip) Johnson, Michael (Elisha) Gifford, Steven (Sherri) Leckie, Darrell (Kellie) Gifford, Elizabeth Leckie, Jennifer (Michael) Lynch and Danielle (Brian) Gant; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Wanda Cavanah and Brenda (David) Joslin; brothers, Donnie (Sue) Long, Kenny (Becky) Long and Gary (Teresa) Long.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 28, 2021 (time to be announced) at Woodbine Funeral Home, 3620 Nolensville Road by Dr. Bobby Howard. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, 615-832-1948.
