OBITUARY: Betty Lou ‘Bee Bee’ Lewis

Betty Lou “Bee Bee” Lewis of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, she was 84 years old.

She was born on June 21, 1938, in Honolulu, Hawaii to the late, Thomas McCreary and Katherine Honan McCreary.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Dyana Katherine Lewis; brothers, Thomas Dale McCreary, Jr. and Robert McCreary.

Bee Bee, is survived by her husband of 64 years, Billy R. Lewis of Nashville; son, Danny Lewis of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Brandee (John) Garrison of Hendersonville, Brandone (Brittany) Lewis and Dallas (Lauren) Lewis; great-grandchildren, Avriana, John “Tree”, Madee, Ruger, Sawyer, Elise, Aksel, Weston and Gracie; a host of nieces and nephews and Stevie, her beloved cat.

Bee Bee was a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor, which lead the US into World War II. She loved to play board games, puzzles, word searches, playing cards and loved to travel. Bee Bee loved to watch Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Blue Bloods.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from four o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and from ten o’clock in the morning until eleven thirty in the morning on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at eleven thirty in the morning on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Dignity Hall of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nashville Humane Society or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
