Alice Crowe Myers passed away on August 9, 2024 at the age of 82.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Marvin Crowe, her mother, Edna Earl Crowe, and her brother, John Crowe, Jr.
Alice is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joe Myers; daughters, Melissa Bilbo and Tricia O’Connell (Eddie); granddaughters, Mary Alice Gage (Alston), Addison and Macy O’Connell, Ellie and Aubrey Bilbo; and great-granddaughter, Evy Gage. She is also survived by her brother, James Crowe (Polina); sisters, Anne Solomon (Jerry) and Ellen Myers, and many nieces and nephews.
Alice was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 26, 1941.
She lived in several states before settling in Nashville, TN when her father came to work for the Baptist Sunday School Board. After obtaining her accounting degree from Carson Newman University, she went on to earn her CPA license and held various accounting positions. Most recently she was an accountant for The Gathering at 840 where she took part in the groundbreaking and eventual completion of the church campus.
She has been a dedicated member of Judson Baptist Church since 1972, with the exception of the years of 1993-2007 when she lived in Knoxville, TN and attended Central Baptist Church of Bearden. At Judson she enjoyed serving in various areas, including Children’s Sunday School, VBS, Training Union, Mission Trips, Judson Jewels and assisting the finance department.
Alice will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was devoted to her family, and her legacy of constant patience and unconditional love will continue to be an inspiration to all those fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a constant reminder of His everlasting love and faithfulness.
To celebrate her life, her family and friends will gather at Judson Baptist Church, 4900 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN on Thursday, August 15th from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M. for visitation, and the service will follow at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Judson Baptist Church or The Gathering at 840.
