Dominique Mantay Brown, 34, who is suspected of committing more than a dozen armed robberies of Nashville businesses since last November, is now jailed after he robbed the Walgreens store at 4201 Nolensville Pike Thursday night.

Investigation by Violent Crimes Division robbery detectives had identified Brown, who is on parole for felony cocaine convictions out of Bedford and Rutherford Counties, as the potential suspect who would wear a three-holed ski mask to commit armed holdups. Thursday evening, Brown drove his Chrysler 300 sedan from his Hermosa Street home to a shopping center near the Nolensville Pike Walgreens store. He went into the store and was seen running out moments later. Detectives quickly verified that he had just robbed the business. Brown was arrested after making it back to the Chrysler. The police department’s Aviation and Canine Units assisted last evening.

A search of the car yielded $4,850 cash, two pistols, and a three-holed ski mask. An additional gun was recovered during the execution of a search warrant at his home.

Brown is presently charged with last night’s armed robbery and gun possession during the commission of a dangerous felony. His bond is set at $100,000.

Brown is suspected of robbing Walgreens, Family Dollar, Dollar General, and CVS stores, among others, in various parts of the city. Evidence in those cases will be presented to the Davidson County grand jury.
