September 14, 2022 – South Precinct Officer Andrew Brazee was on routine patrol Tuesday night when he alertly spotted a stolen 2017 Dodge Charger and followed it to a parking lot at 3801 Nolensville Pike where undercover detectives attempted to stop the car which then fled at a high rate of speed.

With the assistance of an MNPD helicopter pilot, officers continued to follow the car until spike strips were successfully deployed at Antioch Pike and Harding Place. The driver, Redeer Ramazan, 29, bailed from the Charger and fled on foot into an apartment complex. Officers gave numerous commands for him to stop running and drop what appeared to be a gun in his hand. After Ramazan tripped and fell, he was taken into custody. A pistol was recovered on the ground next to him. Recovered from the Charger were 32 Xanax pills and two grams of heroin.

Ramazan, who has prior aggravated burglary, theft, and drug possession convictions, is charged with vehicle theft, gun possession during the commission of a felony, evading arrest, and felony drug possession.
