September 18, 2023 – The Homicide Unit is assuming the investigation into the September 3 critical, now fatal, shooting of Corey Bryant, 40, in the 500 block of Sylvan Street.
The investigation shows that Bryant, of Nashville, was involved in an argument with a man and woman that resulted in gunfire. Bryant was hit in the abdomen and hospitalized. He was discharged from the hospital last Thursday, but was readmitted Saturday due to medical complications. He died over the weekend.
Anyone with information on the person who shot Bryant on Sylvan Street in the 3 a.m. hour on September 3 is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward of up to $5,000 in homicide cases.
