A Kentucky man died this afternoon following a crash on New John Hagar Road at Earhart Road.
The preliminary investigation shows 54-year-old Carly J. Arnett, 54, of Greensburg, Kentucky was riding westbound on a Taizhou Zhongneng F10 Trailmaster scooter when he ran the stop sign and struck the rear side of a Penske box truck that was passing through the intersection southbound.
The man was wearing a novelty helmet.
He died at the scene. Efforts are underway to notify his family.
The driver and two passengers of the box truck were not injured.
