Man Charged After Using Cat to Attack Officers, Metro Nashville Police Say

A man is behind bars after Metro Nashville Police say he used a cat to attack officers while resisting arrest in Downtown Nashville on Wednesday, according to WSMV.

Court documents state MNPD officers observed Christopher Gaddis, 41, on Printers Alley and attempted to approach him.

Officers tried to arrest Gaddis after he was found to have two outstanding warrants but he resisted and threw the cat in face of one of the officers.

Reports say the attack left the officer with several cuts on his right hand. Gaddis was also scratched several times by the cat.

According to WSMV, reports say that Gaddis kicked the officer multiple times in the leg.

Gaddis was eventually detained and taken to the hospital to be treated for the several cuts.

Gaddis has now been charged with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer charges along with the outstanding charges.
