January 5, 2023 – Teams of detectives are working to locate Kevion Larquez Davis, 18, who is wanted on a number of charges, including attempted murder, for Wednesday night’s shooting of another teen who was walking out of Resha’s Market at 717 25th Avenue North.

The victim, James Anthony Webster, 18, was hit multiple times and critically wounded as Davis (who was identified through viewing security footage) fired approximately 15 rounds. Davis is considered to pose a danger to this community. Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

Davis fled the scene of the 8:55 p.m. shooting on foot. Webster, who arrived at the market in a black Honda Civic that was stolen last October, made it back into the car and drove himself to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. A subsequent search of the Honda revealed a semi-automatic pistol loaded with eight rounds.

Prior to being shot, Webster had been a fugitive for months. He was wanted for vehicular homicide in relation to a two-car collision last June 26 at the intersection of 40th Avenue North and Albion Street that killed Lasundra Rice, 41. She was the passenger in a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu being driven by her husband when it was struck by a stolen Hyundai Genesis which, the investigation showed, was being driven by Webster. The Hyundai was traveling in excess of 90 mph at the time of the collision. Webster, who ran away from the crash scene, will be arrested upon his discharge from the hospital.

The motive for Davis shooting Webster remains under investigation.
