Nashville fine dining restaurant Hathorne announced on social media that it is closing. The last day of business will be on Sunday, September 8.
“With heavy hearts, we want to share that Hathorne will be closing after service this weekend. Almost six years ago, we were a ‘Best 50 New Restaurant’. We survived a pandemic and a seven-month closure. We served Hollywood stars, musical greats, and countless of our Nashville neighbors,” said the statement.
It continued, “And while we’re proud of the food we’ve served and the hospitality provided, the truth is, it’s just not sustainable in today’s climate. We aren’t the first local restaurant to close this year. Sadly, we won’t be the last.”
Owner John Stephenson has a storied restaurant experience in Nashville for several decades, from his time at Amerigo, Corner Market, and Fido in Hillsboro Village. He transformed the space at Hawthorne, a former church fellowship hall, into a memorable dining experience that will be missed.
