Brown’s Diner, Nashville’s oldest diner and dive bar, announced the launch of a new cocktail menu. The menu features an extensive list of Tennessee whiskey and Kentucky bourbon, in addition to spins on classic cocktails, wine, and, of course, beer.

“When I took over Brown’s Diner in 2021, I knew I was taking over a part of Nashville history,” said Chef and Owner Bret Tuck. “Brown’s has long been a place to enjoy a cold beer and great food, and that hasn’t changed. But we wanted to create something new and exciting for guests with our cocktail menu. These are classic cocktails made right, with a few unique twists thrown in, and are best enjoyed on our new patio listening to live music.”

On the new cocktail menu, guests can expect to see classic cocktails like a Tom Collins with Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, soda, and simple syrup; an Old Fashioned with Basil Hayden Bourbon, simple syrup, bitters and orange; or a Margarita with Arette Blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. More creative takes include the Goldfish with Uncle Val’s Peppered Gin and Blonde Bloody House Mix; Derby with Blue Note Bourbon, fresh grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and cherry; and the Cantarito’s Cup, a refreshing blend of orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit juices and Arette Blanco Tequila. Brown’s now also serves Red and White Sangria by the glass or pitcher, as well as Bushwackers, available with floaters of Louisa’s coffee caramel pecan liqueur, Irish Shanky’s Whip liqueur, or El Dorado Rum.

To pair with the newly launched breakfast menu, brunch-inspired cocktails include Good Mornin’ with Drew’s Brew Coffee and a shot of Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey; the Shanky Whip with Drew’s Brew Coffee, Irish Shanky’s Whip liqueur, and whipped cream; or a classic Screwdriver with orange juice and Picker’s Vodka. The extensive whiskey and bourbon menu includes selections from Leiper’s Fork Distillery, Pennington Distilling, WhistlePig, Basil Hayden, Davidson Reserve, Weller, and Jack Daniel’s. The beer list includes a selection of domestic bottled beers and local drafts, in addition to red, white, and sparkling wine.

Since acquiring Brown’s Diner in 2021 from longtime owner Jim Love, Bret Tuck has overseen much-needed repairs and restoration of the 97-year-old building while ensuring that the legendary restaurant’s authentic charm remains intact. Among the many upgrades is a spacious outdoor deck that’s perfect for families and large groups to enjoy outdoor dining.

Brown’s Diner is located at 2102 Blair Blvd, Nashville and open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. No reservations are required.
