February 12, 2025 – A 12-year-old Antioch Middle School student was arrested yesterday after making a threat to his teacher that he’d get a gun. The 7th grader admitted to the school resource officer that he was joking as he does not possess a gun.
No gun was recovered after a search of the student’s backpack.
The 12-year-old has a history of talking about guns and joining gangs.
He was taken into custody and charged in Juvenile Court with making a false report.
