March 5, 2024 – Homicide Unit detectives are investigating Monday’s 8:30 p.m. fatal shooting of Henry C. Taylor, 16, in the 500 block of Lemont Drive.
Officers responded to multiple shots fired and found Taylor, of Buchanan Street, lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest. Evidence at the scene shows that there was an apparent exchange of gunfire between separate parties. Taylor was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died.
The motive for the shooting, including why the teen was in the area, remains under investigation. Anyone with information about Taylor’s murder is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward of up to $5,000 in homicide cases.
