TailGate Brewery and Nashville Humane Association are bringing back their popular Adoption Ale Photo Contest for its fifth year. More Eat & Drink News
The annual fundraiser gives pet owners the chance to submit photos of their dogs and cats for a chance to be featured on a can of TailGate’s Adoption Ale. Proceeds from the contest benefit Nashville Humane Association and help support its work providing medical care, shelter services and low-cost resources for pets and their owners across Middle Tennessee.
Photo submissions open July 9 and run through July 23. Each entry requires a $20 donation to NHA. Public voting begins July 24, with each vote costing $1. The dog and cat with the most votes will earn a spot on this year’s limited-edition Adoption Ale can.
There will be four winners in all, including the top dog and top cat selected by public voting, along with two judges’ choice winners. The top vote-getters will be announced on social media after voting closes.
On September 12, TailGate Brewery will host a dog show where the judges’ choice winners will be revealed, along with the 2026 Adoption Ale can. Guests will be able to sample the new beer release and purchase limited-edition packs to take home. Nashville Humane Association will also bring adoptable dogs to the event.
Adoption Ale will also be featured at NHA’s annual Dog Day festival at Centennial Park this fall.
This year’s contest comes as the Nashville Humane Association celebrates its 80th anniversary. Since opening in 1946, the nonprofit has worked to support animals and pet owners through shelter services, humane education, efforts to reduce pet overpopulation, and programs that help keep pets healthy.
