The driver killed Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in a single-vehicle crash in the 7500 block of Sawyer Brown Road is identified as Stephanie Evans, 37, of Nashville.
West Precinct officers responded to the scene just before 2 p.m. The investigation shows that Evans was driving a PT Cruiser north on Sawyer Brown Road when the car left the roadway while negotiating a curve. It struck a mailbox and then a tree. Evans was not wearing a seatbelt.
Toxicology testing, as a matter of routine, will be conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
