August 26, 2024 – Charges are anticipated following Friday’s (August 23) 6:40 p.m. crash on Ewing Drive at Gwynnwood Drive that killed 46-year-old Tamika Petway, of Nashville. The preliminary investigation indicates Petway was driving her Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on Ewing Drive when a southbound Infiniti QX6 on Gwynnwood Drive ran the stop sign and struck the driver’s side of the Camaro.
Petway was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she died.
The 36-year-old driver of the Infiniti and both of her juvenile passengers (ages 14 and 7) were all transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for their injuries.
There were no signs of impairment on part of either driver at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
