The man fatally wounded in Friday’s 12:20 a.m. apparent targeted shooting in a courtyard of Napier Place in the 100 block of Charles E. Davis Boulevard is identified as Dequan Howse, 33. Howse did not live at Napier Place but was known to frequent the area.
The investigation, led by Homicide Detective William Mathis, shows that Howse was walking through a courtyard when he was fired upon by a male suspect. Howse was struck multiple times and died at the scene. Both the gunman and a second male fled on foot.
The suspects are described only as two black men wearing all black clothing. Anyone with information on either man is asked to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
