December 15, 2023 – The three young carjacking suspects who took a woman’s Lexus sedan at knifepoint Wednesday morning in a Charlotte Pike parking garage have been identified as three males, ages 12, 15, and 16, who escaped Tuesday night from the Natchez Trace Academy in Waverly, Tennessee.

The three escaped by jumping the academy fence Tuesday at 9 p.m. They walked approximately six miles before stealing an SUV from a gas station. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside.

The two juveniles who remain at large in this case are identified as Noah Allen, 15, and James Turner, 16.

Alert police work Wednesday night led to the arrest of the 12-year-old at the Greyhound bus station, 709 5th Avenue South. Central Precinct Officer Ralph Gault recognized him from the suspect description and took him into custody. He was wearing the same clothing and was in possession of a Lexus car key and a knife. He is charged in Juvenile Court with aggravated robbery. The other two remain at large.

The victim’s Lexus was recovered Wednesday on Jefferson Street, badly damaged.

Anyone seeing the two teens or knowing their whereabout is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
