Two Brothers Linked to Last November's Fatal Shooting of a Teen Arrested

(July 27, 2022) TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings) detectives Tuesday arrested two brothers linked to the November 15, 2021 fatal shooting of Marterious Boyd, 16.

Detectives know that Boyd was shot while inside a stolen pickup truck with other individuals. Two of those persons were subsequently identified as Deandre Jordan, 22, and his brother, Kejuan Jordan-Cole, 20. Arrest warrants charging the two with auto theft for being in the stolen truck last November were outstanding.

While conducting surveillance on a residence where the brothers were thought to be in the 200 block of S. 4th Street, detectives saw Deandre arrive in a Ford Fusion that had been reported stolen. Deandre was taken into custody and was carrying a loaded pistol, 17 grams of fentanyl, 5 grams of cocaine, 35 oxycodone pills and 2 digital scales. As Deandre was being arrested, Kejuan came to the doorway of the residence and was arrested on the outstanding warrant.

Deandre is charged with two counts of auto theft, three felony drug counts and felony gun possession. His bond is set at $111,500. Kejuan was released after posting a $10,000 bond on the single auto theft charge against him.

Homicide Unit detectives continue to investigate the fatal shooting of Boyd. The gunfire is believed to have come from within the truck.
