June 27, 2025 – Investigation by Violent Crimes detectives resulted in Thursday evening’s arrest of three teens, ages 15, 14, and 16, and the recovery of a stolen 2020 Kia Rio.
The 16-year-old driver stopped outside a Quail Valley Road residence where all three were taken into custody. During an interview, the 16-year-old admitted to stealing the vehicle.
The Kia had been reported stolen on Wednesday morning from a Valley Grove Drive residence. The car’s steering column had been stripped.
The driver is charged with vehicle theft and possession of burglary tools. His two passengers are charged with joyriding.
